"Once again I turn to my favourite place in Africa to get close to elephants, Savuti in Botswana.
Elephants are never happier than when floundering in mud. Next comes the process of dusting down
to get rid of ticks- talcum powder to jumbos.
Somewhere out of my painting there would be a 'rubbing post', a long dead tree which has been used as a scratching post
by elephants until the surface is glassy smooth.Perhaps this may be a subject for a future painting!"
